Dr. Gen. Adel Abdel Maksoud Afify, Former Deputy Minister of Interior of the Arab Republic of Egypt and in addition, an accomplished music composer.

Born in Cairo, March 17, 1945. His talent in music apparent since early childhood, when started playing the piano and the accordion. He had attended formal music studies parallel with his education in the fields of law and police science. Adel A. Afify is holder of a Masters Degree in), Masters Degree in police science and a Ph.D. in law.

 

Music Education:

Adel A. Afify had attended music theory and piano playing studies in Egypt. During his studies he had been examined at the British Council by British examiners from The Royal Schools of Music – an association of Royal Academies and Royal Colleges of Music in the United Kingdom. In 1975 he had obtained the highest degree possible in the field of music: LRSM-Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music.
